COLLEGE EVENTS
The college had initiated Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College Lecture Series in 2007-08 to enliven the academic environment on the topics of contemporary interest in diverse fields. The Academic Affairs Committee of the College organized the inaugural lecture in the series on the topic "Why China Matters to India: Indo-China Relations since 1990's". The lecture was delivered by Prof. Swaran Singh, School of International Studies, Jawaha: Lal Nehru University. Prof. H. Ramachandran, Department of Geography, University of Delhi delivered another lecture in this series on the topic "Towards an Urban India". He explained at length the rural-urban dichotomy existing in the country and proposed the idea of urbanizing India keeping in mind the stagnating rural sector.
