Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

About Institution’s Innovation Council
In 2018, the Ministry of Education (MoE), through MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC), launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to systematically foster innovation and the start-up ecosystem within educational institutions. IIC engages a large number of faculty, students, and staff in various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities. There are more than 50+ activities to be performed every academic year.

This initiative has now completed 7 successful years and is currently in its 8th year, known as IIC 8.0. Over the past two years, IIC has evolved into a sustainable and scalable model for promoting innovation in HEIs. India's 38th rank in the Global Innovation Index (GII) reflects this growth.
